If you want to prepare it at home here is the recipe…

  • The first step for preparing the Italian stack is to prepare the ingredients. Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  • Season both sides with salt and pepper on each patty.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and brush the patties with olive oil on both sides. Cook the patties on medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  • While the patties are cooking in the skillet, toast the burger buns lightly in a toaster. 
  • Place a slice of fresh mozzarella on the bottom of each bun and top with a cooked patty. Then add a layer of 2 slices of prosciutto on each patty.
  • Then add tomato slices and basil leaves on the top of the prosciutto. 
  • Drizzle a generous amount of balsamic glaze over the basil leaves and tomato slices.
  • Close the burger by topping with the top bun and serve immediately while warm.
